I’m obsessed with the few millennials I know! I’m not obsessed like I’d hide in someone’s bushes. I am no one’s stalker (on purpose); however, how their minds work perplexes me. Most of the time, they have me crackin’ up… I mean c’mon, the word “adulting.” It’s hilarious! 🙂 Enter the millennial-focused Tarascope Podcast.

Millennials have come into the Universe and changed the game – how we communicate and how we date! Most of the time I sound like an 80 year old woman when I find myself asking things like, “WTF is a kickback?” (If you don’t know, I’ll give you a hint, it has nothing to do with corporate greed.) I asked Aatara Johnson, creator and host of the Tarascope Podcast, that specific question and she answered (as she laughed at my older person ignorance). Young folks, I tell ya… LOL. She is one of the funniest millennials I know and she IS unapologetically Aatara!
Who is Aatara?
Aatara is a Georgia based magical melanin-rich Queen who graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta in 2016. And this woman knows her fashion! She told me that her name is Hebrew for “crown.” Like a courtly crown adorning a Queen’s head, Aatara is bold and not afraid to share her thoughts on a subject that truly matters to her, hence, the Tarascope Podcast.
What is the Tarascope Podcast about?
Aatara focuses on the romantic relationship and dating world of a melanin-rich millennial. She also addresses the responsibilities of being an adult (aka “adulting”). In other words, this podcast is for 20 to 30 something year olds navigating life as an adult in the world.
The majority of her episodes are light, fun, and focus on Aatara’s perspective regarding dating. Most of the episodes is your host expressing her refreshing thoughts on topics from toxic relationships (including friendships) to being an anxious lover.
She also has episodes with special guests who offer their spin on the topic at hand. For example, the episode with special guest, The Love Profess Sir, is one for the books – comedy gold! In case you missed the link, here it is to his bio again. If you’d like to listen to the episode, and I highly suggest you do, you can find on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.

What age range should listen to the Tarascope Podcast?
Tarascope has been created for adults, so listener discretion is advised! 🙂 If you don’t know current slang, then you may want have a younger adult near while you listen to translate. I’m just kidding, you won’t really need a translator – use context clues like I do! LOL
What’s the bottom line, Shauna Mac?!
Bottom line is, y’all, this podcast is definitely worth a listen! Aatara gives a fresh, new perspective on dating and living, in general, with a different spin.
